Spring 2013 Look Book!!!

The look book for our spring 2013 collection Petrichora is here! We are so excited to post some of our favorite shots! Our gorgeous model Christine did an amazing job working with our girls to create a fun and super beautiful photo shoot! Enjoy :)

Leia is our interpretation of the perfect short wedding dress. Paired with your hottest heels, this dress is designed to show off your amazing figure!

 

Hazel is the quintessential beach wedding gown. The silk charmeusse hand ruched bodice adds a soft touch of texture for a gorgeous look.

 

 

NYFW

New York Fashion Week

is a beautiful display of invention and creativity. It's the culmination of months and months of hard work from the best designers in the world. They come to show their works of art on the runway and inspire the fashion world.

Some of the trends we saw from Spring 2013 are STRIPES, SHEERS, and FLORALS. These themes seemed to carry to almost every designer. Beautiful combinations of soft femininity and strong lines create some of the most gorgeous designs we have seen.

At Ghinda, we love to use interesting and unique fabrics for their feel and aesthetic. Not only do we want to take you to a different place with the look of our destination-inspired gowns, we want the feel of our gowns to take you there as well. 

The lining of most of our dresses is 100% wood-based cupro. The smooth and silky fabric feels like wind against your body, but is strong enough to endure a little wear and tear.

Many of our dresses are made with a hand-beaded metal-infused nylon. It has beautiful body with just a hint of sheen. The tiny lines of silver metal give it the perfect amount of detail against the white background. It is the perfect fabric for an outdoor wedding.

 

 

Another fabric we love is 100% silk charmeuse. The silky soft feel just enraptures the skin. It makes you feel so beautiful by the way it drapes and wraps around the curves of your body.

 

My personal favorite fabric that we use is our nude silk matte jersey. The drape and flow of the material is so striking and beautiful. The fabric just makes you look like you're floating on air.

 

Can't wait to share more of the beautiful, and perhaps unconventional fabrics we choose as we continue  to create gowns that take you to another world.
